Help those who cannot help themselves.
Giving to those most in need
Charity Projects Update in Uttar Pradesh … the poorest state of India.
As individuals, we need to come together and collectively give in order to effectively address the imbalance of basic necessities and essential resources for the people.
It is astonishing and quite sobering to learn that 17% of the world’s population consume 80% of the world’s resources, leaving approximately 5 billion people to live on the remaining 20%. This means that the majority of people in the world suffer from the lack of basic needs such as food, shelter, clothing, education and hygiene.
We sincerely hope that by thoughtfully examining the charitable activities carried out by Swami Govindananda, you will feel genuinely inspired to offer your support and make a meaningful donation. Rest assured, we are committed to managing your contributions with the utmost responsibility and transparency, ensuring that every donation reaches those who need it the most.
Swamiji is 100% committed to helping those in need, dedicating his time and resources wholeheartedly to this noble cause. This effort is an extension of the Bhakti Meditation Centre Ltd., which is Swamiji’s Australian registered charity. It also serves as the Australasian branch of the globally respected Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat (JKP). JKP was founded by Swamiji’s revered Guru, Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, whose vision and compassion have inspired countless acts of kindness. Over many years, JKP has successfully established a number of charitable trusts across India, focusing on providing substantial aid to the poor and needy. This includes the creation and operation of three fully equipped, modern hospitals and schools, all of which offer entirely free services to the impoverished people of Uttar Pradesh, the poorest state in India. These institutions stand as a testament to the profound commitment to social welfare led by Shri Maharaj Ji, supported by Swamiji.
A footnote from Swamiji:
’Since 2023 I have been living full-time at our main Ashram, JKP, located in Kripalu Dham, Mangarh, Kunda, Uttar Pradesh, India. It is from here that I have been regularly broadcasting our zoom sessions, including the new free series that will start September this year. I want to share a personal experience and observation with you. Whilst living here, I have been astonished to see firsthand, on a day to day basis, the depth and commitment to the charitable works that JKP performs. The sentiment, care, and professionalism provided to the poor when giving them medical, educational, and other daily needs support, is very humbling to see. These people are poor in the poorest State of India! Our Founder and Guru, Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, knew this and many years ago, as part of his contribution to society, he determined to help them in whatever way possible. And he did. The large charitable organisation he established and continues to grow today in its reach and quality of service, is quite extraordinary to see and be part of.
Therefore, I wish to make an appeal to you - that is, if you are intending to participate in my free zoom sessions and have the means, please contribute via my website here in whatever you can to help these impoverished people. Big or small, your donation will count. If you can do your part, then collectively we will succeed in alleviating the misery these people endure almost daily. Actually, even if you are not going to attend, but wish to help, please do so today.
Thank you. Sincerely, Swamiji'
Whilst the participation in some of the series is free, I encourage you to donate whatever you are comfortable with to support these extraordinary charitable activities that JKP have founded and maintain.
